Bias began in 2012 when its owner, Sally Hindle, decided to leave her teaching career and begin her own business. Her first shop opened in Bellenden Road, Peckham in south east London in September 2012 - the beginning of a new school year! It thrived and was a great addition to the independent and boutiques stores that opened around the same time.

In 2016 Sally decided to move back to her roots to be nearer her mum so she could support her on a more regular basis. She looked around for a town that she knew, that she thought would embrace a Scandinavian inspired store and that was near enough to her parents' house in Durham. And Harrogate it was! So her second store opened in September 2016.

Since then Bias has gone from strength to strength, featuring ethically-made, quality products designed to be loved a lifetime. It's stance against fast fashion, has resonated with the Harrogate community and led it to be successful enough to open a third store, in the heart of Leeds city center.

We are looking for partners who can help us spread our message of sustainable, ethical fashion. Our ideal candidates will have a wide social media presence with a following who understand our values and share our passion for beautiful clothes.
